The Whalers are very proud to announce that U18 Whaler Ben Merrill has committed to play hockey at Harvard University. Ben will join an illustrious list of alumni including Ryan Donato, Jack Rathbone, Ian Moore, and more at Harvard. When Ben steps on campus in Cambridge he is expected to play with Teammate Evan Zhang, and alum Sean Keohane and Michael Callow. 

Throughout his Whaler career, Ben has been an impact player, registering 59 points over 71 games, including averaging over a point per game across his final two seasons. Ben had an excellent sophomore year at St. Sebastian's, putting up 11-13-24, however, he has truly broken out as a top scorer this winter. Ben averages a point and a half per game, being one of the ISL's top scorers. We look forward to seeing his continued growth and success!
